Just days before the September 14th Democratic primary, Ariana Kelly, candidate for an open delegate seat in Maryland's District 16 announced today two new endorsements from important grassroots citizens organizations.
Kelly is now endorsed by Clean Water Action, a 1.2 Million member organization with a strong membership in Maryland. Clean Water Action commended Kelly for her commitment to protecting our water, our health, and our future.
With this endorsement, Kelly has now earned the "triple crown" of environmental endorsements. Sierra Club and League of Conservation Voters announced their endorsements of Kelly last month. Kelly is the only candidate for the open delegate seat to be endorsed by these environmental groups.
Kelly was also endorsed today by People for the American Way. Founded by civil rights leaders including Barbara Jordan and Norman Lear, People for the American Way works to promote justice, freedom and equality. Kelly has spent her career as a nonprofit advocate working successfully on these issues.
Ariana Kelly is the only candidate for the open Delegate seat in Maryland's District 16 with support from a wide range of community groups and elected officials. She has worked with many of these individuals and groups over the years in Annapolis, and has earned their support because she is a proven, principled advocate with a known for working well in diverse coalitions to advance common goals.
