BETHESDA, MD: August 6, 2010 — Adding to the growing momentum of her campaign, Maryland District 16 delegate candidate Ariana Kelly today received the endorsement of Montgomery Women.
Montgomery women is a nonpartisan leadership organization. Their membership includes many of the County’s most influential women in business, education, civic affairs, government and politics.
The Montgomery Women endorsement is the latest addition to a long list of endorsements for Kelly including the Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA), the Sierra Club, the Democratic Women’s PAC of Maryland, SEIU Local 500, NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland PAC, the Montgomery County National Organization of Women (NOW) PAC, and the Women’s Campaign Forum. Eighteenth District Delegate Jeff Waldstreicher, former State Senator Sharon Grosfeld, fifteenth District Delegate Kathleen Dumais, and former State Senator Hon. Mary Boergers have all endorsed Kelly as well.
Ariana Kelly is running for an open Delegate seat in the 16th District, which covers Bethesda, Glen Echo, and portions of North Bethesda, Potomac, Chevy Chase, Cabin John, and Rockville. Kelly currently lives in Bethesda with her husband and their two young children, Maeve. 6 and Leo, 3. She has spent her career as a nonprofit executive effectively advocating on the issues most important to Montgomery County families.
